Susun Weed's Iron Tonic

This recipe cured my anemia naturally while pregnant with my son in 1995. I have successfully used it dozens of times since, with my current batch in the works. I do a batch approx. every 6 weeks.

2 simple ingredients provided by mother nature:

2 ounces (1/4 cup) dried yellow dock root
4 TB organic raw honey

Instructions

1. Place roots in a quart jar, fill with boiling filtered water, cap. Infuse for 8 hours or overnight.
2. Strain and discard or compost plant material.
3. Place liquid in glass or stainless steel saucepan. Steam on very low heat until reduced to one cup. Do not boil or simmer. This typically takes 2 to 4 hours and requires careful watching especially if using an electric stove.
4. Add the honey and stir until dissolved.
5. Turn up the heat and bring mixture just to a boil. But don't allow to boil.
6. Pour liquid into very clean jar, cap cool and refrigerate.

Dosage is 1 to 2 TB daily.
